The #3 Wazzup Super Vee is engineered specifically to withstand the brutal pounding of open-ocean offshore competition. Built around a 40–42 foot high-deeded deep-V hull, the craft balances hydrodynamic lift with extreme structural rigidity.
Twin custom-assembled marinized V8 powerplants calibrated on Wazzup Racing Engines in-house dyno. Custom header layout and stainless drive units optimized for wave jumping stability.

Ed 'Smitty' Smith is a legendary figure in American offshore powerboat racing. Serving as the President of the Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA), Smitty brings decades of championship-winning experience to the helm of the #3 Wazzup boat. With multiple National and World Championship titles under his belt, his master throttle control and tactical brilliance drive the team forward.

Continuing the storied Smith racing legacy, Anthony Smith combines precision steering with aggressive throttle work in the high-stakes Super Vee arena. Growing up surrounded by high-performance marine engines at Wazzup Racing Engines, Anthony delivers elite telemetry feedback and fearless line selection in high-speed offshore waters.

FROM BRICK TOWNSHIP WORKSHOP TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The story of Wazzup Racing is forged in grease, high-octane fuel, and ocean spray. Founded in Brick Township, New Jersey, the team originated around Wazzup Racing Engines—a full-service marine engine building and service station created to supply ultra-reliable, extreme-horsepower powerplants for competitive marine applications.
As founder Ed "Smitty" Smith tested and calibrated engines for marine enthusiasts and offshore competitors, his passion naturally transitioned onto the national race circuit. Over decades of competing across multiple sanctioning bodies and classes—culminating in Smitty's leadership as OPA President—Wazzup Racing earned a reputation for bulletproof engine endurance and aggressive wave strategy.
